Natural Gas Supporter DeMetro Racing Does Food Drive
DeMetro Racing recently ended its season. As a team sponsored by Friends of Natural Gas New York, we are always looking for ways to give back. We will, on November 10th be hosting a food drive at the Price Chopper parking lot in Endicott, New York from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All food donated will go to the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse in Binghamton, New York – another great example of the natural gas community serving the community.
UPDATE: If you would like to make a donation of non-perishable food products, but don’t want to drive to Endicott, Vic Furman will be leaving his truck parked in his driveway (a grey Chevy Silverado) on November 9th all day at 140 Sapbush Road, Chenango Forks, New York. Just stop by and put your donation in the back of his truck if you wish to contribute. Vic will deliver the food to Endicott. All food donated will go to the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse in Binghamton.
Our DeMetro Race Team, after a successful 2012 racing season, with our sponsor, the Friends of Natural Gas NY, will begin the off-season by hosting a food drive in Binghamton on November 10th.
Marking the end of a great season, we’d like to do something for the community and encourage other racers to join, too.
The team will park our 28-foot race trailer at Price Chopper on North Street in Endicott from 10:00 until 2:00 on Saturday. The goal is to fill it with non-perishable foods – and to have some fun! The Binghamton Mets’ mascot will be making an appearance, along with some other community celebrities. Be sure to bring the kids and a camera. When the trailer is full, the donations will be delivered to the CHOW warehouse in Binghamton.
The DeMetro team is proud of our sponsorship from Friends of Natural Gas NY. We believe safe and responsible natural gas development will contribute to thousands of job opportunities and will help put food on the table for many families. The development of natural gas in New York could strengthen upstate communities, as it already has in Pennsylvania.
Not only do I believe in helping our community, I also believe in the importance of natural gas development to help grow jobs and benefit our New York State economy.
It’s time to give back and help out families as the holiday season grows closer! Please join DeMetro Racing and Friends of Natural Gas NY in our stand against hunger on Saturday. We hope to see you there!
