Schumer: “Democrats Throughout the Country Have Supported Fracking”

While activist groups have tried their hardest to portray hydraulic fracturing as highly controversial, in reality, there’s strong bipartisan support for this technology and the domestic energy production it makes possible. Check out this exchange between U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning:

To recap, here’s what Sen. Schumer – a senior member of the Senate Democratic leadership and chairman of the Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Center – said about hydraulic fracturing:

“Overall, the Democrats throughout the country have supported fracking. The President has, most of us have, and it’s worked quite well.”
