Stark County Oil and Gas Partnership to Host “Choose Stark County” Event

The Stark County Oil and Gas Partnerships’ Choose Stark Event will be held at 5pm, January 30th at the Canton Civic Center. This will be a business-to-business networking event, with speakers updating the presence of the oil and gas industry in our community, and the opportunities for our local businesses it brings.
Our Itinerary will include a representative from giving an update on their presence in Stark County, and Rebecca Heimlich from the , who will address several issues concerning the Utica Shale Play.
Canton Mayor William Healy will speak on the affects the oil and gas industry has had on the City of Canton. Rebecca Burke, the former Lycoming County Commissioner, will discuss the impacts, benefits , and opportunities the energy industry has brought to her County and the City of Williamsport, Pa since 2007 – giving us insight on what to expect in Stark County.
We will also be discussing advertising opportunities available on our newly constructed website, which is supported by Energy in Depth.
This event is sponsored by the Ohio Petroleum Council, an arm of API, which represents all segments of America’s technology-driven oil and natural gas industry. Its more than 500 members – including large integrated companies, exploration and production, refining, marketing, pipeline, and marine businesses, and service and supply firms – provide most of the nation’s energy.
