Appalachian Basin

The time? Now. The place? Ohio!

Hello and welcome to Energy in Depth: The Ohio Project. My name is Michael Chadsey and my team and I are excited and ready to go. To put it simply, this initiative is about one thing: making sure our friends and neighbors are well-informed about the development of shale gas and oil reserves here in Eastern Ohio.

A little about me: I was born in New York but have spent the last 25 years in Ohio living in Stow, Summit County.

After graduating from Kent State University with a degree in political science, I have spent the last 10 years working in and with local, county and state government throughout Northeast Ohio. I have been fortunate enough to serve in a variety of offices and positions over the years and have worked closely with many elected officials, but the goal has remained constant: work with community and business leaders to stimulate local economies and spur job creation throughout the region.

That is what attracted me to Energy in Depth. This project is about sharing with those in my community how important developing our very own energy resources is for Ohio and the nation. The time is now and the place is Ohio!

There is important work to be done in the coming months and we will need your help along the way to make it happen. This effort is too important to give it anything but our full attention. If you, a relative, friend or neighbor have a question about responsible energy development, send it our way. We’ll do our best to respond in at timely manner. In the meantime, be sure to check back with us here at www.eidohio.org for updates and information from the road about Ohio shale develop and the tremendous economic, employment and energy benefits associated with this once in a lifetime opportunity.
