Video: Fourth of July Festivities — Brought to You By Oil and Gas

When people think of petroleum, they often only think of gasoline or diesel. But petrochemicals are used for so much more, including a myriad of products and activities that make Independence Day, and summertime activities in general, so enjoyable.

As Americans get set to celebrate the Fourth of July, EID’s new short video highlights the fact that raw materials derived from oil and natural gas are the key ingredients needed to make products such as plastics, polyurethane, and hundreds of other goods used in our everyday lives, including Independence Day camping trips. From nylon rope and plastic bottles to polyurethane-coated tents, every part of the camping experience is made possible by petroleum.

No matter where you are celebrating this Fourth of July, petroleum products are sure to play a key role in your festivities, including those incredible fireworks displays. Check out EID’s latest short video to learn more about the many petroleum products that help to make this special time of year so memorable.

Happy Independence Day from everyone at Energy In Depth!
